In regard to the nomination of Silke Bodenbender, the jury said: "It is obvious that she has an affinity for roles where the character is developed during the course of the film. This enables her to portray the transition of the obedient housewife Elke to an aggressive avenger in such a realistic manner in the ZDF drama "Über den Tod hinaus" (Beyond Death).
