The two-part ZDF thriller “Entführt” (Kidnapped) from director Matti Geschonnek, starts with a kidnapping and develops into a family drama.

“Despite the various plot lines, the director has succeeded in not confusing the audience, but rather to keep them in a continuous state of suspense two evenings in a row,” notes the jury. “In addition, the lineup of great actors like Suzanne von Borsody, Heino Ferch, Matthias Brandt and Friedrich von Thun lend the film a superior quality.”
